Beginning in January 2016, our firm was established through a leap of faith.  Feeling led by God, we started out on this journey to apply our Christian principles of “service to others” in order to help both small businesses and individuals in the areas of accounting and tax.  To date, God continues to bless us with great clients and new opportunities.

Team Profiles

Gary M. Antonius, CPA

Gary grew up in the Cleveland, Ohio area, but became an Oxford/Southwestern Ohio transplant when he began attending Miami University in 1988.  He graduated with a BS in Accounting from Miami in May 1992 and received his CPA shortly thereafter.

Since graduating, Gary has worked in the public accounting sector working primarily in the fields of taxation (both individual and business) and business consulting (basic bookkeeping and QuickBooks assistance up through outsourced CFO duties), with an emphasis on small to medium size business accounting and tax needs.  Gary strives to help all those he works with achieve success in their business and personal lives to the utmost of his ability (relying on Col 3:23 as his guide).

Outside of work, Gary is married to Denise and lives in Oxford Ohio.  They have two adult children (Zac and Amy) and one dog (Winston).  He enjoys gardening (vegetables only as he loves sharing the bounty with others), working with his church (Cobblestone Community Church), and working with his mission partner, SonLight Power.  He’s been on several mission trips and loves being in the service of God’s Kingdom.

Krista S. Darkins, CPA

Krista grew up in Plymouth, Indiana and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1989 with a BBA in Accounting and earned her CPA while working in public accounting.  She worked in Cincinnati & Detroit for 9 years, with a concentration of taxation for small & medium-sized companies.  She and her husband relocated to Cincinnati in 1998, where she served as a tax specialist and financial planner at a financial planning firm in Cincinnati for 9 years.  The last 16 years were spent working independently as a financial planner for a large family office, while continuing to assist individual clients with their tax needs.

Krista is married to Toby, and they live in Loveland, Ohio.  They have 3 adult children (Lindsay, Nathan & Keenan) who have helped them broaden their horizons and acknowledge there are other teams to cheer on besides Notre Dame, as they have attended Miami University, University of Cincinnati, and Ohio State, respectively.  Krista is an avid hiker, and is working on section hiking the Appalachian Trail.  She has logged over 500 miles of the 2,200 mile trail and has enjoyed the challenges of backpacking.  She is also working on the Ohio Buckeye Trail, which is about 1,400 miles around the perimeter of Ohio.  She and her husband enjoy travelling together in their RV with their Labrador, Miss Ellie, who is also an experience backpacker.

Denise L. Antonius

Denise grew up in College Corner, Ohio and began attending Miami University in 1989.  She graduated in May 1993 with a BS in Family and Consumer Sciences.

Since graduating, Denise has worked primarily in accounting and office administrative roles for various companies.  Denise currently provides bookkeeping services, runs the front office and generally keeps Gary in line.

Outside of work, Denise shares many of the same passions as Gary, including family, gardening, service to church, and service to mission.
